Name a Cockroach for an ex

Some are single, some are not.

Some are in love, some are not.

Some exes are nice, some are not.

If your ex happened to be a real life pest, then naming a cockroach after your ex this Valentine’s Day is the single most ridiculous, yet wonderful thing we've come across.

The Hemsley Conservation Centre zoo in London is allowing people to name a cockroach after their ex or, if you're annoyed with how someone has treated your best friend, you can buy one as a gift to your friend.

So how does it work? You visit the Hemsley Conservation Centre website here and choose the option to either name a cockroach for yourself or on behalf of a friend and pay just £1.50 (approx €1.70). You will then have the option to have your ex's first name included on a roach board which is displayed next to the zoo's cockroach enclosure. You will also receive a certificate that reads "I’ve named a cockroach at the Hemsley Conservation Centre in the not so loving memory of my worthless ex". Money raised through the endeavour will go toward future zoo projects.

In a statement about the initiative the zoo said "For those that don’t quite require revenge, there’s another way to make you feel better about getting back at your ex this Valentine’s Day,"
