Calvin Harris finally wins

Calvin Harris has waited ten years for a Brit Awards and two came along at once tonight.

The Scottish producer and chart-topper won his first and second award tonight as he took home the producer of the year award and the British Single of the Year gong.

Calvin first won producer of the year, his first Brits win after several nominations over the years.

He said: "I've been coming here for a few years and I've never got the opportunity to say anything on this stage before.

"I want to thank the people at home, I want to thank these people here, I want to thank anyone that has bought a tune, streamed a tune, come to a show, listened to a song by accident on the radio and gone, 'What's this?'"

He added that the win "means a lot".

Fans of his were delighted that his talent was finally recognised by Brit voters after years of success across the world.
